The Dallas Cowboys are almost there. The preseason is finished, the evaluation period is essentially over, and now the hardest part begins: deciding which players actually get to stay.
My Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster projection has several difficult decisions, particularly along the offensive line, at wide receiver, linebacker and in the secondary. The Cowboys also have 16 players projected for the practice squad, giving them plenty of young talent to develop once the initial roster is set.
The graphic above represents my current projection heading into cutdown day (not in any particular order). It isn't the official roster, and that's an important distinction. NFL teams have until 5 p.m. CT Sunday, August 30 to reach 53 players.
